The Broker
A Macedonian–Dutch migrant reaches an abandoned village where a mysterious broker offers to relieve him of the memories he can no longer carry.
Set between the Netherlands and a Macedonia preserved in memory, the film turns migration into a ritual of transmutation: blood, a necklace and an ancient ledger transform forgetting into an inheritance someone must always bear.

About
I make films about people caught between worlds—and the traces that places, families and memories leave behind.
Meglen Anzik Trpkov is a Macedonian–Dutch writer and director based between Utrecht and Skopje. He graduated from HKU School of the Arts Utrecht, specialising in directing and screenwriting.
Having grown up between Macedonia and the Netherlands, his work approaches alienation, home, grief and identity through an intimate emotional lens. His films move between realism and the uncanny, where memory can feel as physical as a landscape.
His latest short, Dead Roots, has screened at Asolo Art Film Festival in Italy, IN THE PALACE in Bulgaria and Across the Lake in Macedonia.
